Twenty business professionals from all around Tampa have gathered to present the First Annual Charity Polo Classic going down on Saturday, March 31 at the DI Polo Tour in Plant City.

Benefitting the Children’s Cancer Center, Combat Wounded Veterans Challenge and Kettle Comfort, the Charity Polo Classic is the brainchild of Chris Gannon, Pat Moraites, and Andy Traenkne who came together in December 2011, spearheaded the formation of the Charity Polo Classic Planning Committee and organized this event in three short months.

Gates at the Charity Polo Classic will open at 11:30 a.m. on March 31 and shortly precede the presentation of colors and the singing of the National Anthem by one of the children from the Children’s Cancer Center.  The premier match will begin at noon and feature some of the top polo stars from around the country.

In addition to the polo match, the First Annual Charity Polo Classic will feature both live and silent auctions, a fashion show with clothing from local boutiques, animals from Lowry Park Zoo, Argentinean barbecue, and complimentary beer and wine.

Tickets to the Charity Polo Classic are $150 for one and $250 per couple with all proceeds benefitting the Children’s Cancer Center, Combat Wounded Veterans Challenge and Kettle Comfort.  To purchase tickets, or simply get more information on the Charity Polo Classic, visit www.charitypoloclassic.com.
