Join us for the 2018 Pensacola Mardi Gras Kick Off Celebration! The Pensacola Mardi Gras Kick-off Celebration is the annual Mardi Gras season long kick-off event!
Event Details
This is the traditional Kick Off for Pensacola's Mardi Gras season. All of the biggest and best Pensacola Mardi Gras Krewe's bring their float to historical Palafox Place, where the Krewes all meet in Costume for a ceremonial blessing of the fleet, along with the Town Crier proclaiming each Krewe substantially blessed and ready to celebrate the entire season.
The Blessing of the Fleet is capped off with the biggest and best authentic second line procession anywhere. The entire evening is filled with live entertainment, the cutting of the official City of Pensacola King Cake provided by Bluejay's Bakery, blessing of the Pensacola Mardi Gras Krewe's and their floats, and many fun events for the entire family.
Palafox Place along with it's many food and beverage spots, witness a parade in reverse as the floats stay still- while revelers stroll past catching beads and hugs from other Krewe members and friends. This wonderful event starts in the late afternoon and rolls into the early morning.
