Tallahassee Turkey Trot 2018 by Gulf Winds Track Club
Event Details
The Tallahassee Turkey Trot, 4 races that give everyone in the family a chance to burn more calories than they consume on Thanksgiving morning. The races, 1 mle, 5K, 10K and 15K, are produced by Gulf Winds Track Club with the impressive support of Turkey Trot's new presenting sponsor, Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare.

The Turkey Gobbler, a great race for kids and walkers, is a 1 mile fun run or walk that starts at 8:00 a.m.
The 5K, 10K and 15K races start at 8:30 a.m.
Place:
All races start and finish at 4055 Esplanade Way, SouthWood State Office Complex

Parking: A little planning will save you a lot of time.
Please carpool if possible. There are three main parking lots. The easiest to access is located in front of the Department of Revenue buildings. This lot is on the west side of Capital Circle between Merchants Row and Shumard Oak. It can be accessed from Capital Circle wheter driving north or south and it can be accessed from Tram Road. Please be careful when crossing Capital Circle. Use the cross walks at Merchants Row or Shumard Oaks. The second lot is on the east side of Captial Circle, also between Merchants Row and Shumard Oak. It lies between the State Office Buildings and Capital Cirlce. You can access it from either end (Shumard Oak or Merchants Row), but plan to arrive early. The longest lines usually are the cars trying to turn onto Merchancts Row from Capital Circle. The lines to enter the lots grow as the start time approaches. The third lot is south of Shumard Oak. It is the first lot on the right if you turn onto Shumard Oak from Capital Circle. IF there is a line at Merchants Row, then continue through to Shumard Oak. The Northside Kiwanis Club has been helping runners get parked for more than 14 years, so please thank them for their help on race day! You can find more, including a map, at parking.
