With the rapid growth of ride-sharing apps, the accessibility to becoming a driver has never been easier. This fast increase in demand for drivers has caused many apps to bypass the high standards necessary to be a professional driver. More and more unqualified drivers are slipping through the cracks, but GoVetted, a new ride-sharing app, sets to raise the standard for what it means to be a qualified driver.

“Every day, there’s a new story about a crime committed by drivers for the two dominant rideshare companies. It’s unacceptable,” says Alan Roberts, Chief Business Development Officer of GoVetted.

GoVetted is a new contender in the ridesharing app category that differentiates itself from the rest of the pack by setting a higher standard for its drivers. Background checks at the local, state and federal levels; and GoVetted is currently the only company in this category requiring drug screenings. CPR, first aid, defensive driving and customer service training. The drivers are also given random vehicle inspections. All these measures culminate into a passenger feeling safe and secure.

“GoVetted’s mission is to provide safety and peace of mind,” said Roberts. “We created a solution that not only serves a more discerning clientele, but one that focuses on smarts, security, and soul.”

On top of its safety features, GoVetted will incorporate additional services other ridesharing apps don’t offer such as Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT). They also partner with professional car service companies to book limousines, motor-coaches, and other large passenger vehicles for special occasions and group transportation needs.

GoVetted will initially provide service between Panama City and Pensacola including the three airports, Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport ECP), Destin-Fort Walton Beach (VPS) and Pensacola International (PNS).

In the Fall, the brand has plans to extend coverage to Tallahassee before expanding to Miami for the 2020 SuperBowl.
