Celebrate & Decorate with Let's Go Luna! by WFSU Public Media
Event Details
Join friends from the Community Classroom Consortium for an advanced screening of the brand new holiday special from PBS KIDS Let’s Go Luna! series, Christmas Around the World, plus crafts & activities - all for free!
Let's Go Luna is the newest series to air on PBS KIDS, premiering on November 21st on WFSU-TV. The show features Judy Greer as the moon, who travels the globe with her friends Leo, a wombat from Australia; Carmen, a butterfly from Mexico; and Andy, a frog from the U.S. The gang’s adventures take them through cities around the globe – from London to Cairo to Beijing – where they explore the food, music, art, architecture and other features that make each place distinctive.
Watch as Luna learns about the Christmas gift-giver traditions around the world, including Santa Claus (United States), Tío de Nadal (Catalonia), Pere Noel (France), Tomte (Sweden), and La Befana (Italy).
We'll be set up across the Florida Historic Capitol Museum, with screenings happening in the gallery and partners with crafts scattered throughout the museum. There will also be model trains on display!
11:00am: First Screening
12:00pm: Second Screening
PARKING INFO:
The Historic Capitol is located in the Capitol Complex, at the intersection of Apalachee Parkway and South Monroe Street. Although the Museum does not have dedicated parking, there are several parking lots in the area. There is a large public parking garage in Kleman Plaza, close to the Capitol Complex. All metered spots downtown are free on the weekend and there are some spots in the old Union Bank’s parking lot off Calhoun Street.
